Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of church are you?

Wilmington Reformed Church is a Reformed Presbyterian Church - we are members of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC). For more details on our doctrine, visit our beliefs page.

What is your service like?

Our service uses a liturgical structure - a call to worship, prayer of confession, and preaching of the Word are all elements of our worship time. You'll receive an order of worship to help you follow along.

What about my children?

WRC is a family-integrated church - we believe that children learn best when they attend worship with their parents. However, we certainly understand that small children can need extra attention, so we have a staffed nursery during both Sunday School and service.

Can I take communion?

We invite all those who have been baptized, who have publicly professed their faith in Christ, and who are members in good standing of a Bible-believing church to join with us in the celebration of the Lord’s Supper. If you are not a member in good standing of a Bible-believing church, we respectfully ask that you refrain from taking communion, but we encourage you to talk with the pastor to find out more about how you can be joined to Christ’s church. Please note that white grape juice is provided in the center of the tray for those whose consciences or health conditions prevent them from drinking wine.
